Prayer Ministry

We have an ongoing prayer ministry for our church, community and world.  There is also a group of individual members who participate in a prayer chain through phone calls and e-mails when requests are made.  New and ongoing requests are posted in the bulletin each Sunday.  If you would like to make a prayer request, you can call 636-225-7317 or 314-757-442, or send an e-mail to our pastor, Steve Lawrence.

Bible Study

Bible study begins at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings.  There are classes for newborns through senior adults.

VBC Outreach: Ministry through Missions

We give 6% of our undesignated budget toward state and national Southern Baptist Convention causes. We give 3% of our undesignated budget to support the work of the St. Louis Metro Baptist Association, and we also have set aside funds to support the benevolence needs in our community. We take up special offerings to help with other mission causes the first Sunday of each month. These offerings provide funds for purchasing bibles and bible sticks for military personnel. We also support Sunshine Ministries.  We collect canned goods, non-perishable items, and school supplies to assist the ministry efforts of Feed My People. Seasonal giving at VBC includes the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, which support SBC efforts to minister internationally and in North America; Operation Christmas Child in coordination with Franklin Graham and Samaritan’s Purse; Angel Tree via Prison Fellowship Ministries (for families dealing with incarcerated parents and/or guardians), and the Adopt-A-Family Christmas Program of Feed My People.
